Java Beach started with one simple question: Why should neighbors have to take a road trip out of the neighborhood for a good cup of coffee? The foundation of Java Beach has always been a commitment to serving superb coffee. All our coffee is locally roasted and it is all organic, sustainable and fair trade. Forever a work in progress, Java Beach is the love and life work of the Maguire’s. Java Beach is more than a coffee shop; it is a second home to many and a friend’s living room to others. Many relationships and marriages began at Java Beach and now the second generation of Java Beach customers are tall enough to order their own drinks and, sometimes, old enough to pay for them!
Java Beach has evolved over the years, but the spirit of hope and possibility that manifested itself on that fateful day in October remains with us and is part of the magic down here at the edge of the world where we perch on the Pacific Ocean.
In short, Java Beach was started with a briefcase of nothing but chutzpah and all these years later it has become the embodiment of “be bold and great forces will come to your aid.”
